Almond Oil

This is the most popular carrier oil as it has a very pleasant texture, is almost scentless, is rich in protein and is emollient, nourishing and show to become rancid. It also helps relieve itching from eczema. This pleasant light oil is gaining popularity. It is very fine and clear, odorless and has no allergic effects on skin. It gives a satin-smooth finish without a greasy touch. The keeping quality improves with the addition of 5 per cent of an anti-oxidant such as wheat germ oil. It is one of the least expensive. This is a liquid wax and is very stable because it is indigestible to bacteria and humans. It dissolves sebum which makes it good for acne gives a satin – smooth feel to the skin.

Sesame (Unbleached) Rich in vitamins A and E and it is stable oil but the rich color and odor can be objection. It is used in Scandinavia for cases of dry eczema and psoriasis and washes out easily from towels and clothing. Soya has nice feel and doesn’t become sticky with pressure. Sunflower has the least keeping qualities and needs an anti oxidant but also has Vitamin F and other substances useful for certain skin diseases.
